The 2024 NFL Draft is officially upon us.
The draft offers hope to every team across the league as they build for their futures.
One of the biggest reasons why the NFL is the ultimate league of parity is because of the system and structure of the draft.
It also doesn’t hurt that virtually half of the current players in the league are undrafted. In other words, if you have a smart enough general manager and good enough coaches, you don’t necessarily need a ton of first-round studs to get you on the winning path.
Having said that, it sure is sweet when you hit on a top-level first-round pick, and he actually lives up to his hype and potential.
Of course, we know some college football programs are stronger than others.
Some programs are downright football factories.
When it comes to producing first-round draft picks, there are a few prestigious programs who tower over everyone else.
As far as conferences are concerned, we know that the SEC is the undisputed king.
That’s absolutely nothing against the Big Ten, but from top-to-bottom the SEC still produces the best NFL quality players.
In fact, the SEC is aiming for their 18th CONSECUTIVE year of leading all conferences in total draft picks.
But what about individual programs when it comes to producing first-round draft picks?
You can probably guess the top dog … But some of the other programs may surprise you.
