Tom Brady is more in the public eye in retirement than he ever was as a player, especially during his days in New England.
Whether he’s floating comeback rumors or running around shirtless on a beach with his future FOX Sports colleagues, Brady is enjoying life after football. (And he’s earned it.)
Hell, he’s even the focus of Netflix’s latest comedy roast…
Premiering this Sunday on Netflix will be “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.”
A star-studded lineup of NFL icons are primed to deliver a comedic barrage at Brady, which is set to take place in Southern California.
Some of the roasters include former teammates Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Randy Moss, and Drew Bledsoe. Actor Ben Affleck is also expected to participate.
But the most noteworthy roaster of all is Brady’s former coach and borderline rival, Bill Belichick!
Netflix had initially announced the roast special in 2022, but anticipation peaked with the recent release of a trailer for the live event at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
The hosting duties for the evening will be handled by comedian Kevin Hart, while the seasoned roastmaster Jeff Ross is slated to join in the ribbing.
Ross, known for his sharp comedic jabs, has a history of hosting roasts on Comedy Central, targeting various athletes over the years.
The roast is part of the “Netflix Is A Joke Fest,” a month-long celebration of comedy shows across Los Angeles in May.
Despite his reserved nature, Belichick’s involvement comes as no surprise considering his extensive history with Brady.
The duo forged the NFL’s greatest dynasty during their two-decade tenure in New England, capturing six Super Bowl titles together.
Brady is (most likely) retired. While Belichick surprisingly remains out of work.
After going unclaimed in this past coaching cycle, Belichick will take a year off before (most likely) returning to the NFL for the 2025 season.
Some expected Belichick to hibernate underground while he waits for a team to come calling, but that won’t be the case.
Belichick was spectacular as a guest-host on Pat McAfee’s NFL Draft Show – and he will reportedly have a role on the ultra-popular ManningCast once the season starts this fall.
In other words, he may be temporarily out of coaching, but we’re still going to get plenty of Bill Belichick in our lives.
Netflix’s much-anticipated roast of Tom Brady is scheduled for 8pm EST this Sunday night.
