Well, neighboring state Kansas has said forget all of that. They want the Chiefs to cross state lines and make their permanent home in their great state.
Kansas is so serious about welcoming in the Chiefs that designs for a new stadium have already been made.
Architect David Manica has crafted detailed renderings of a prospective replacement stadium, stirring discussions about the Chiefs potentially relocating to Kansas.
Notably, the proposed stadium would have a dome which is always a sensitive issue for die-hard football fans.
The renderings, which depict intricate designs of the interior and exterior of the stadium, hint at a potential move near The Legends and Kansas Speedway.
The prospect of a new stadium for the Chiefs raises questions about the team’s legacy at Arrowhead Stadium, its home since 1972.
With the Chiefs in the middle of a budding-dynasty, the last thing Kansas City (and Missouri for that matter) wants is to lose their beloved franchise.
It goes without saying that nothing is set in stone and there have been no official proposals made of any kind.
However, the stadium issue is something that will soon need to be addressed for the Chiefs.
As discussions unfold, the league and officials will weigh the merits of a potential move.
