Sink or Swim? Dolphins Have to Let McDaniel and Tagovailoa Go

Man, that’s gotta be a tough pill to swallow for Dolphins fans. A 20-12 loss to the Texans pretty much puts a nail in their playoff coffin. It’s the same old story for Miami – they look good on paper, but when it matters most, they just can’t seem to get it done. Something’s gotta change, and it might be time for a major shakeup.

Let’s talk about Tua. He had a rough one against Houston, throwing four interceptions – yikes! Those three picks weren’t just bad; they were progressively worse as the game went on. And that final interception, underthrowing a deep ball with the game on the line? That’s the kind of stuff that keeps coaches up at night.

The truth is, Tua’s struggles with the deep ball have been an issue for a while now. He just doesn’t have the arm strength to consistently make those throws, and it’s holding back those speedy receivers, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

And we can’t ignore the concussion situation. It’s tough to say, but those injuries have taken a toll. Tua used to be a threat on the ground, but now? Not so much. Defenses don’t have to worry about him running anymore, which makes things even tougher.

Look, I’m not saying Tua is the only problem. Mike McDaniel hasn’t exactly been lighting it up as head coach either. The Dolphins just can’t seem to win the big games under his leadership. At some point, you have to wonder if he’s the right guy for the job.

Maybe it’s time for a fresh start. Trade Tua while he still has some value, and bring in a coach with a proven track record. Someone like Mike Vrabel, who’s won a Super Bowl as a player and had success as a head coach with the Titans.

The Dolphins have the talent to be a contender, but they need the right quarterback and the right coach to lead the way. It’s time to make some bold moves and get this franchise back on track.
