Kansas City is about to get a new hotspot that blends steak, football, and star power — and it’s coming courtesy of Chiefs icons Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
The two Super Bowl champs are teaming up to launch 1587 Prime, a high-end yet accessible steakhouse named after their jersey numbers (15 and 87). The restaurant is scheduled to open in Summer 2025 in partnership with international hospitality group Noble 33, known for its chic dining destinations in cities like L.A., New York, London, and Toronto.
“[It’s] just another thing that we want to bring to Kansas City,” Kelce told PEOPLE. “To show our appreciation for the city, knowing how much they love their food and how much they love their football.”
Mahomes echoed the sentiment, explaining their goal is to build a restaurant that reflects the community — not just a glitzy venue for the elite. “We don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go,” he said. “We want a place Kansas City can call home.”
1587 Prime will span a massive 10,000 square feet across two floors, featuring several private dining rooms and a vibe that blends luxury with hometown warmth.
Though the exact opening date hasn’t been announced yet, one thing’s clear — this isn’t just a celebrity project. It’s a personal investment in Kansas City’s food scene by two of its biggest heroes.
