Jazz Lewis, the son of former Baltimore Ravens legend Jamal Lewis, is already getting top-tier mentorship as he prepares for his high school football season — and it’s coming from one of the greatest tight ends of all time.
The rising Chamblee Charter High School wide receiver recently worked out with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and called the experience “amazing” in an interview with TMZ Sports. Kelce, an eight-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion, offered Jazz key route-running tips and advice on how to create separation and move more smoothly on the field.
“I got to learn,” Jazz said. “He gave me some tips on how to run better routes, smoother [ones]. And, yeah, it was nice.”
The opportunity came through Jazz’s trainer, Tony Villani, who promised to connect him with NFL-level athletes during offseason sessions. It didn’t take long before the teen found himself running routes alongside a future Hall of Famer.
Originally expected to play running back like his father, Jazz was recently switched to wide receiver — a move that now seems even smarter after working with Kelce. Jamal Lewis said his son already had strong hands and the ability to beat man coverage, but Kelce’s guidance could take his development to the next level.
Kelce’s own offseason has been a whirlwind, with much of it spent in the public eye due to his relationship with Taylor Swift. But as the 2025 NFL season approaches, the Chiefs star seems to be locked back in, working out with young athletes and preparing for what could be his final run.
Now, Jazz Lewis walks away from the session with more than just tips — he’s got a story he’ll remember for a lifetime. His father knows it too: “Later on, they’ll really cherish it,” Jamal said.
