New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner is making headlines off the field as much as on it. The two-time Pro Bowler has recently been spotted multiple times with rap sensation Ice Spice, fueling speculation about a possible relationship between the NFL standout and the chart-topping artist.
The first public sighting came in February, when Gardner and Ice Spice were seen having dinner together at a mall. Later that month, they attended the premiere of Druski’s YouTube series “Coulda Been Love” together, as reported by TMZ.
Now, Gardner has seemingly acknowledged the rumors via a photo carousel posted on his Instagram account. In the post, the cornerback is seen standing with Ice Spice next to a luxury vehicle on a New York City street. The caption? Just a simple Statue of Liberty emoji.
The post also included a cartoon image of a hot sauce bottle wearing Gardner’s No. 1 jersey, holding a spatula beside a red rose. Ice Spice didn’t shy away from the spotlight either, commenting “1” on the post — a nod to Gardner’s jersey number.
While fans speculate about his personal life, all eyes are also on Gardner as he approaches a major payday. According to NFL insider Connor Hughes, the Jets plan to begin contract extension talks with Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson following the 2025 NFL Draft.
With Houston Texans star Derek Stingley Jr. recently landing a three-year, $90 million extension and Carolina’s Jaycee Horn getting a four-year, $100 million deal, the bar has been set high. Gardner, entering his fourth season, could realistically surpass those figures to become the league’s highest-paid cornerback.
Whether it’s locking down wideouts or possibly locking down a new relationship, Sauce Gardner is commanding attention from all directions.
