Did Aaron Rodgers Just Give Away What Team He Will Sign With?

Aaron Rodgers was spotted working out with newly acquired Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf over the weekend, igniting rumors that the four-time MVP might be heading to the Steel City. Photos and videos from the UCLA session — shared by photographer Alex Amen and confirmed by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo — showed Rodgers and Metcalf getting in some serious reps.

This isn’t just your average offseason workout. The Steelers just pulled off a major trade to land Metcalf from Seattle, and they’re still searching for a veteran quarterback to lead an offense that also includes George Pickens and Najee Harris. With Russell Wilson in New York and Justin Fields joining the Jets, Pittsburgh’s quarterback room remains in flux — and Rodgers could be the answer.

Rodgers has already met with the Steelers’ staff at their facility, reportedly spending over six hours with Mike Tomlin and company. Tomlin, for his part, isn’t rushing things.

“There’s no drop-dead date,” Tomlin said when asked about a Rodgers decision. “That’s why we brought Mason [Rudolph] back. I’m comfortable with that. And we’ve been there before.”

Rodgers hasn’t committed to playing in 2025 yet, but signs point to interest on both sides. He’s familiar with the AFC North, and the idea of throwing to Metcalf, Pickens, and tight end Pat Freiermuth might be enough to get him back under center.

If nothing else, it’s another reminder that NFL drama doesn’t stop once the season ends. Between disappearing mustaches and surprise throwing sessions, the league keeps finding ways to stay front and center — even in April.
