Colin Cowherd Blasted For Insane Cowboys “Fix”

The Dallas Cowboys are mired in a downward spiral, having dropped five straight games to fall to a horrifically disappointing 3-7 record.

In many ways, Dallas’ 34-10 blowout loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night was rock bottom for the Mike McCarthy era. (Having said that, things will get even worse if the Boys lose to the Tommy DeVito Giants on Thanksgiving Day.)

As frustrations mount, fans are searching for ways to fix the Cowboys.

Someone else who is trying to figure out how to get the franchise back on track is FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd.

Cowherd floated a dramatic overhaul for the team, suggesting that Jerry Jones and company pursue Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders and draft his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, even if it means sacrificing significant assets to make it happen.

“If I was the Dallas Cowboys, I don’t care about Dak’s new contract. I would go get Deion Sanders and I would pick Shedeur Sanders,” Cowherd said. “If I had to give up Micah Parsons and three firsts, I would do it.”

The idea is as extreme as it is unconventional.

Deion Sanders, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and Cowboys legend, has had inconsistent results at Colorado. But to his credit, he has the Buffs in contention for a potential CFB Playoff berth.

Having said that, “Coach Prime” has stated numerous times that he has no interest in becoming an NFL head coach. He hinted that he wouldn’t have the patience to deal with all of the egos involved in the world of professional football.

Meanwhile, despite concerns about his lack-of-size, Shedeur Sanders will almost certainly be drafted before the Dallas’ selection (unless they really bottom-out the rest of the way).

Cowherd acknowledged the steep cost of his suggestion, which involves using Micah Parsons – a cornerstone of the Cowboys’ defense – and future first-round picks to secure Shedeur.

While Parsons has fallen out of favor with many Dallas fans, the package that Cowherd is suggesting is quite hefty to say the least.

Having said that, the price to move up in the draft won’t come cheap, especially since the Las Vegas Raiders figure to do whatever it takes to get in position to draft Shedeur themselves. (And possibly even lure Deion as well.)

The whole idea of both Deion and Shedeur finding their way to Dallas is nothing groundbreaking. Although it’s very much unlikely, it’s been speculated about for months.

Fellow Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is doing his best to fuel the speculation fire. Appearing on Cowherd’s show, he said Deion would definitely accept the Dallas job if they do in fact draft Shedeur.

“100%. And I can tell you, good sources have told me that. Great sources have told me that,” Irvin said, hinting at you-know-who as his “source.”

What are your thoughts on the whole situation?

Should the Cowboys aggressively pursue BOTH Deion and Shedeur?

Or would Bill Belichick and Dak Prescott be a better duo to have in Big D???
