JJ Watt Is Coming Out of Retirement and Will Sign With the Bengals

It looks like J.J. Watt might be making a return to the NFL, but there’s a catch. The future Hall of Famer has jokingly agreed to come out of retirement and play for the Cincinnati Bengals if Burnley FC goalkeeper James Trafford can keep a clean sheet for the rest of the season.

Trafford has been on an absolute tear, not allowing a goal in 13 straight games. This has put Watt in a bit of a predicament, as he’s now facing the possibility of having to make good on his promise.

While it’s still a long shot, the Bengals could certainly use Watt’s help on defense. He’s a dominant player who could make an immediate impact, even at 36 years old.

It’ll be interesting to see how this situation plays out. If Trafford can keep up his incredible streak, Watt might just have to dust off his cleats and head to Cincinnati.
