You’ll Never Believe The Ticket Prices For These NFL Showdowns

The NFL just dropped its full 2025 schedule, and fans are already putting their money where their loyalties lie – especially when it comes to one of football’s fiercest rivalries.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, demand for the season-opening clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys is sky-high.

Citing data from Vivid Seats, Schefter reports that average ticket prices for the Week 1 game sit at a jaw-dropping $1,743 – the most expensive of the entire 2025 season as of Wednesday’s schedule release.

Needless to say, the defending NFC champion Eagles kicking off the season against their most hated rivals is a storyline built for primetime.

It’s also no surprise that the Cowboys – long dubbed “America’s Team” – feature in three of the five most in-demand matchups revealed so far.

Dallas is once again one of the NFL’s top ticket draws, despite a disappointing seven-win campaign last season. Their massive fan base and national brand power continue to fuel interest – especially in headline matchups.

That’s evident in another marquee game: the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs, which ranks as the second-most expensive ticket of the season, averaging $1,491, according to Schefter.

The matchup is stacked with star power.

Kansas City still boasts Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and defensive anchor Chris Jones, while Dallas will counter with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and defensive standouts Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland.

Plus, the recent addition of George Pickens gives Prescott another explosive weapon in the passing game.

The holiday timing also plays a role. Thanksgiving games are always a hot ticket, and with two high-profile teams facing off, demand has surged months in advance.

In total, Dallas is scheduled to appear in six primetime games in 2025, including an NFL-record four Thursday Night Football appearances. That national spotlight continues to drive up demand for tickets wherever the Cowboys go.

Elsewhere among the most expensive games of the year: Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills appear twice, while the Chiefs, Packers, Ravens, and – somewhat surprisingly – the New York Jets each land one game apiece in the top tier of ticket prices.

Despite the hype, Dallas will have plenty to prove when they meet the Chiefs in Week 13. Kansas City is looking to bounce back after their nightmare Super Bowl loss, and the Cowboys will be trying to prove that last season’s stumble was a fluke.

Early betting lines from DraftKings Sportsbook already have the Cowboys as 5.5-point underdogs in the Thanksgiving clash.

As for their history? The recent series between Dallas and Kansas City is evenly split – three wins apiece over the last six matchups.

The Chiefs took the most recent meeting in 2021, a 19-9 win at Arrowhead. But the last time they visited AT&T Stadium, back in 2017, the Cowboys defended their turf with a 28-17 victory.

All eyes will be on the Cowboys this year – and judging by ticket prices, fans are paying premium rates to watch how it all unfolds for Jerry Jones’ polarizing team.
