Ugly Reports Keep Derailing Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Stock

Shedeur Sanders, one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, has recently seen his draft stock take a hit.

He has been widely praised for his talent and leadership at both Jackson State and Colorado. However, recent reports suggest that some NFL teams are raising concerns – not about his skills, but about his demeanor during interviews.

NFL insider Josina Anderson revealed that at least one quarterbacks coach from a team picking in the top seven had a negative impression of Sanders after meeting with him.

“I am disappointed to hear that a quarterbacks coach from a team drafting in the top 7 referred to Shedeur Sanders as coming off ‘brash’ and ‘arrogant’ in his team interview and making his assessment known to a number of people, per source,” Anderson reported on X.

Adding another layer to the discussion, Anderson noted that the same quarterbacks coach has a history of taking issue with players who have had significant fame and financial success before entering the NFL.

“According to league sources, said QB coach seems to have issue with the culture of athletes who have broad fame and financial success before entering the NFL, and in their opinions, appears to them to have a problem (with) certain athletes,” Anderson added.

Sanders, the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has enjoyed immense popularity both on and off the field, securing major endorsement deals and building a personal brand well before declaring for the draft.

Further complicating Sanders’ draft evaluation, NFL Network’s Peter Schrager reported that multiple teams were turned-off by Sanders’ attitude during meetings, saying he came off as arrogant and egotistical.

Confidence is one of the most important traits that any athlete – or person for that matter – can have.

Sanders certainly doesn’t lack for confidence – and that’s a good thing. However, fair or not, some teams feel that he’s simply too cocky.

“We went from Jackson State to Colorado and changed two programs back-to-back,” Sanders said during Combine week. “You don’t think I could come to an NFL franchise and change a program again? It’s history. It’s always going to repeat itself.”

Schrager pointed out that above comment didn’t sit well with some teams…

Regardless of these reports, Sanders remains one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 draft class, and his name is expected to be called early on day one.

Interestingly, there’s an argument to be made that Sanders wouldn’t have been a first round pick at all had he been in last year’s class.

Luckily for him, that’s not the case and there’s still a strong chance that he will be the second quarterback taken off the board when April 24 rolls around.

What are your thoughts on all of these reports coming out about Sanders’ attitude problem? … At the end of the day, do you think he will end up being a franchise quarterback in the NFL???
