Texans Set To Make Surprising Move

The Houston Texans’ offense took a major blow in Week 8, with wide receiver Stefon Diggs sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL.

This injury raises questions about Diggs’ future with the team, as he managed just eight games in a Texans uniform.

The Texans also lost their top wideout Nico Collins to injured reserve earlier this season with a hamstring injury, making it a challenging stretch for Houston’s receiving corps.

With two top receivers out, the Texans will rely on promising players like Tank Dell, Xavier Hutchinson, and John Metchie III to fill the gaps.

However, the Texans are reportedly looking into trade options ahead of the November 5 trade deadline to add depth and experience to the roster.

ESPN reports that Darius Slayton from the New York Giants and New England Patriots receivers Kendrick Bourne and K.J. Osborn are among the potential trade targets.

Jakobi Meyers of the Las Vegas Raiders might also be an option, although he’s stepped into a more prominent role with the Raiders following Davante Adams’ move to the New York Jets.

Slayton recently posted 108 receiving yards in the Giants’ Monday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This marks his second 100-yard game of the season, and he’s currently averaging 52.5 receiving yards per game, his best performance since 2019.

In terms of other options, Kendrick Bourne, who is recovering from an ACL tear last season, has only appeared in two games this season, logging four receptions for 29 yards.

K.J. Osborn, who joined the Patriots this offseason, has struggled to make an impact, catching just seven passes for 57 yards and one touchdown in six appearances.

With a strong 6-2 record, the Texans are positioned as contenders and are eager to keep quarterback C.J. Stroud supplied with the weapons needed to sustain momentum as the season progresses.

Facing a quick turnaround, Houston travels to the Meadowlands where they will take on Aaron Rodgers and the desperate New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.

What do you think the Texans should do to bolster their roster???
