Stephen A. Smith Unleashes Hell On Tyreek Hill

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill has proven to be a lot to handle – both on and off the field.

For the second time in his controversial NFL career, he’s looking to force his way out. First, it was with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, it’s with his current team – the Miami Dolphins.

“This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man. So I just got to do what’s best for me and my family,” Hill said after Miami’s loss to the New York Jets on Sunday.

“If that’s here or wherever the case may be, I’m finna open that door for myself. I’m opening the door. I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I gotta do what’s best for my career because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, arguably the most mild-mannered coach in the NFL, was clearly annoyed at Hill’s refusal to enter Sunday’s game against the Jets.

The tension with Hill has been brewing for months. While things can certainly change, it seems like a parting of ways may be imminent

Speaking of which, Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons made it clear that he would love to team-up with Hill in Dallas.

“@cheetah we can be the fastest duo in the league!!! We also don’t have state income taxes!” Parsons posted on X.

While Parsons’ enthusiasm is evident, financial hurdles may complicate any possibility of Hill joining the Cowboys.

Dallas, coming off a disappointing 7-10 season, is expected to make significant roster changes. However, their salary cap situation for 2025 is tight, particularly with extensions looming for key players such as Parsons himself.

Adding Hill to a roster already featuring star wideout CeeDee Lamb would require substantial financial maneuvering. Additionally, Hill, who turns 31 in March, has two years remaining on his current contract with Miami.

Parsons’ pitch about Texas’ lack of a state income tax might not be as persuasive as intended, given Hill is already a Florida resident enjoying the same benefit.

Needless to say, a lot of NFL fans have rolled their eyes at Hill’s new stance, especially after he forced his way out of Kansas City back in 2022.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith didn’t mince words when reacting to Hill’s potential departure from Miami, delivering a fiery response on First Take.

“Hell to the no,” Smith said. Stay your ass right there.”

Smith argued that Hill’s struggles in Miami highlight the difference in playing without Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“Life’s a little bit different when you ain’t with Patrick Mahomes,” Smith continued. “We tried to tell you. We don’t want to hear about no family now. You got your bag. That ain’t family, bro. Family’s the bag.

“Once you get the bag, family’s taken care of. This is about you recognizing that life is a little bit different when Patrick Mahomes ain’t throwing you the football.”

Hill joined the Dolphins in 2022 via a blockbuster trade with Kansas City after failing to secure a contract extension with the Chiefs.

In his first two seasons with Miami, Hill exceeded 1,700 receiving yards each year, but injuries limited him to 959 yards and six touchdowns this season, marking his least productive campaign in five years.

What are your thoughts on Hill already wanting out of Miami? … Has he proven to be too big of a headache for teams to heavily invest in???
