QB Hints Reid & Mahomes Might Just Be Massively Overrated

The Kansas City Chiefs’ quest for a historic Super Bowl three-peat ended in disastrous fashion Sunday night, as the Philadelphia Eagles dominated them in every single facet of the game.

The lopsided result was truly one of the most shocking outcomes in recent Super Bowl history.

While anyone watching could see that the Chiefs simply didn’t show up, analysts wasted no time on Monday morning emphasizing just how uncharacteristically poor Kansas City looked.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky didn’t hold back on Get Up, delivering a blunt assessment of both Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes’ performances.

“This is the worst performance I’ve ever seen from an Andy Reid-coached football team,” Orlvosky said. “Outclassed. Out-physicalled. There was so much dropback pass, little protection help … Low energy. “

That lack of energy was impossible to ignore.

A team known for rising to the occasion over the last several years looked flat, lifeless, and shockingly unprepared for the moment.

Millions watching from home could sense it, making the Chiefs’ no-show all the more bizarre.

Orlovsky was just as harsh in his critique of Mahomes, who looked nothing like the poised superstar fans have come to expect.

“It’s the most unsettled and flustered I’ve ever seen Patrick look,” Orlovsky said. “It’s the worst game I’ve seen Patrick play.”

Of course, the Eagles deserve credit for making the Chiefs look so uncharacteristically horrible.

Having said that, it was quite bizarre just how overmatched and downright uninspired Kansas City looked.

But again, Philadelphia deserves credit. Their relentless four-man pass rush overwhelmed Mahomes and the Chiefs from the opening whistle.

What are your thoughts on Orlovsky’s comments? … Do you think Reid, Mahomes, and the Chiefs (that we thought we knew) have just been overrated all these years?

How can what happened on Sunday possibly be explained???
