Prominent Figure Ruthlessly Destroys Dak Prescott & Jerry Jones For Historic Contract

While many Dallas Cowboys fans rejoiced over Dak Prescott’s lucrative contract extension, not everyone was pleased.

Skip Bayless did not mince words in his harsh critique of the Cowboys’ decision to make Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Bayless unleashed a pointed rant on social media, voicing his frustration with team owner Jerry Jones and the direction of the franchise.

“Jerry Jones just made a QB who has stunk in 3 straight playoff losses – who is 2-5 in playoff games – the highest paid player in NFL history,” Bayless fumed in a post on X.

“This is why Jerry’s Dallas Cowboys have not even made it to an NFC Championship game in going on 30 years. Now I’m… STUCK WITH DAK.”

Prescott’s new four-year, $240 million extension, which averages $60 million annually, surpasses the recent mega-deals given to quarterbacks like Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Trevor Lawrence.

Despite the eye-popping contract, Bayless argued Prescott’s postseason struggles don’t warrant such an investment, particularly given the Cowboys’ inability to advance past the divisional round in recent years.

Bayless, a lifelong Cowboys fan, expressed his disappointment further, saying, “Since I was 10 years old, I have loved the Dallas Cowboys with all my heart and soul. But right now that love is being tested like never before. If you’re a smart Cowboy fan, you know the feeling.”

While Bayless may be critical, Prescott started the season on a strong note, leading Dallas to a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

He threw for 179 yards, completing 19 of 32 passes with one touchdown and no interceptions. Prescott was sacked three times but managed to lead Dallas to a comfortable victory.

However, Bayless remains skeptical.

His stance on Prescott could soften if the Cowboys finally break through in the playoffs, but for now, his frustration is clear – and he’s not alone.

While some fans are happy that the dragged-out contract saga is finally over, there are many who are convinced that Prescott is not deserving of such a monumental deal.

We all know the book on Dak to this point in his career. Despite impressive regular season success, he and the Cowboys as a whole have routinely collapsed in the playoffs.

Getting Dallas over the hump in the postseason is the only way for Prescott to turn his critics into believers … But is he capable of doing so?

Will the Cowboys ever win the Super Bowl with Prescott at quarterback???
