Free agent cornerback Rasul Douglas is still on the lookout for a new home in the NFL, and it seems like a return to the Green Bay Packers is unlikely. When a fan recently asked him on social media whether he might sign back with the Packers following the exit of All-Pro corner Jaire Alexander, Douglas didn’t mince words. His reply was clear: “Don’t think that will happen, buddy.”

It’s worth noting that Douglas found considerable success during his time in Green Bay, where he recorded an impressive 10 interceptions over the course of just 36 games. His tenure there showcased his potential as a playmaker in the secondary. However, after being traded to the Buffalo Bills during the 2023 season, it appears he won’t be donning the green and gold again anytime soon.

At 30 years old, Douglas is still a competitive presence. He started 15 games for the Bills last season, proving he can still hold his own at the highest level. As he navigates free agency, the former Packer is in search of the right fit — and ultimately the right contract offer — to continue his career. For Douglas, it’s all about finding the right opportunity to showcase his skills and make an impact, whether that’s as a starter or in a rotational role. The wait continues, but he’s poised to contribute wherever he lands.
