Myles Garrett Is Making Demands About What QB the Browns Get

Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett shared his thoughts on the team’s immediate future and plans at quarterback. The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year is plugged again after he shockingly requested a trade from the AFC North franchise.

Garrett explained to Browns Radio Network (via Content Browns on X) what he thinks the team needs to get things back on track and start building a competitive squad. The pass rusher made it clear that the Browns need a young quarterback who can learn and be patient since the process to get where they want will just start when they arrive.

“Any team that’s going to go far needs a quarterback and one that’s young, can learn and is willing to be patient with the process,” Garrett said. “There’s going to be some bumps in the road. It’s going to be some learning pains. But us as a team has to be able to be a landing pad for him to fall back on, and know being on the defensive side, to help him out whenever things go wrong.”

The Browns have tried with many quarterbacks since Bernie Kosar left and things have gone south sooner or later. Former New England Patriots star Julian Edelman said on last week’s edition of his ” Dudes On Dudes” show that Baker Mayfield was the team’s best chance at quarterback, but they let him go to make room for Deshaun Watson.

With the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, the Browns had the chance to land a young quarterback to kickstart a new project. Garrett sees it as the solution for the team, but not only the prospect but the team must be patient during the process.
