Mike Vrabel Furious Over Nightmare Stefon Diggs Controversy

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel recently had to have a difficult conversation with star wide receiver Stefon Diggs following the emergence of an off-field incident.

The controversy arose after a NSFW video from a boat party featuring Diggs went public, drawing national attention less than 24 hours before Vrabel’s latest press conference.

Speaking on Wednesday, Vrabel acknowledged the situation and assured that the team will address it appropriately.

“Well, it’s something that we’re aware of. Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field,” Vrabel said.

“We’re hoping that with our time here on the field today, that when we don’t have a script and we’re on the call periods, that we’re making great decisions.”

Vrabel added that the message would be consistent for the entire roster.

“The message will be the same for all our players, that we’re trying to make great decisions,” he continued.

“Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him, I and the club.”

Diggs, who joined the Patriots this offseason on a three-year, $63.5 million deal despite recovering from an ACL tear in 2024, was notably absent from Wednesday’s voluntary offseason workout.

However, he did participate in last week’s organized team activities.

Vrabel clarified the situation surrounding Diggs’ absence, stating: “This is a voluntary part of our off-season program.

“Every player that’s not here, which there aren’t many, have been in communication with me and their position coaches.”

The four-time Pro Bowler has amassed 857 receptions, 10,491 yards, and 75 touchdowns over his 10-year NFL career.

When asked about Diggs’ recovery timeline, Vrabel remained optimistic, stating: “When he’s here, we’ll coach him and we’ll have him ready to go.”

Getting back to the troubling video that emerged, it’s clear the controversy isn’t going away anytime soon.

Most people assume there were drugs involved – and at the end of the day, there’s just nothing positive about the video whatsoever. It’s a horrible look for Diggs all the way around.

Diggs has a long history of being a distraction and causing headaches throughout his career … Will Vrabel and the Patriots regret their decision to sign him???
