Major Distraction Could Lead To Broncos Beating Bills

As the Buffalo Bills gear up for their wild-card matchup against the Denver Broncos in the NFL Playoffs, offensive coordinator Joe Brady is emerging as a hot commodity for head coaching roles across the league.

While star quarterback Josh Allen has openly expressed his desire for Brady to remain with the team, the coach is fielding serious interest from multiple franchises.

According to reports, the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, and Jacksonville Jaguars are all interested in Brady.

While the 35-year-old coordinator acknowledged his aspirations to become a head coach, he emphasized his current focus on the Bills’ playoff run.

“Do I aspire to be a head coach? Yeah, I would love to given the right opportunity and I’m honored to even (have) the name be thrown out there,” Brady said. “But right now, just my focus is to find a way to win a football game this week.”

Brady further dismissed distractions by reinforcing his commitment to the team’s immediate goals.

“There really doesn’t need to be much of a balance, because my focus is strictly on trying to win the Super Bowl here, and us trying to find a way to win this game this week,” Brady added.

“The reality of it is some of the interviews, if interviews happen, would be next week. So, really nothing for me to even think about right now, and just kind of focus on Denver.”

Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed during a press conference this week that the team has received formal requests for Brady to interview.

“We have received some of those and we’ll see where it goes in the days and weeks ahead here,” McDermott said of the requests.

Brady has been a key factor in the Bills’ offensive success this season. Under his guidance, Josh Allen has emerged as the favorite to win the MVP.

Allen’s praise for Brady has been glowing, albeit delivered with a dose of humor.

“Nothing, nothing,” Allen said of Brady’s importance to the team. “He hasn’t done anything for us. Teams should stay away from him.”

On a serious note, Allen credited Brady for his impact on the team since taking over midseason last year.

“He’s been fantastic,” Allen continued. “Coming into a situation last year that was, it’s not easy to switch play-callers mid-year, and he came in and from that day on, if you look at our splits, our success that we’ve had as a team, it’s noticeable.

“So, he’s one of the most positive guys in the building. He’s always got juice and energy for the guys. I think that’s something that we love and appreciate about him, and he’s as real as they come.”

As the Bills prepare to face the Broncos on Sunday, speculation around Brady’s future continues to swirl.

Buffalo fans are hoping that Brady is 100% focused on the task at hand and doesn’t fall victim to the wandering eye syndrome.
