The NFL has announced that the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys in this year’s Thanksgiving Day showdown, scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff on CBS.
This marquee matchup pairs two of the league’s biggest television draws in one of the NFL’s most-watched annual slots.
Regardless of opponent, the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game is often the most-watched regular-season game of the year.
But needless to say, with the star-studded Chiefs coming to town, the ratings could reach historic levels.
Kansas City has become a staple of prime-time football since Patrick Mahomes took over as starting quarterback in 2018.
With Mahomes under center, the Chiefs have consistently contended for Super Bowls and remain one of the NFL’s most marketable teams.
This Thanksgiving appearance adds to a packed schedule of spotlight games for Kansas City.
They are also set to play on Christmas for the second straight year and will reportedly kick off the season in a Friday night prime-time matchup in Brazil.
Additionally, two heavyweight rematches loom on the calendar: a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles as well as a showdown against the rival Buffalo Bills.
Despite their decades-long Super Bowl drought, the Cowboys remain one of the league’s premier draws.
