Insider: This Coach Loves Shedeur Sanders More Than Anyone

As the NFL Draft rapidly approaches, one of the most pressing questions is where exactly will Shedeur Sanders land?

The talented quarterback, son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has become a highly sought-after prospect. However, opinions on just how good of an NFL QB he will become vary greatly.

Interestingly, the Pittsburgh Steelers have emerged as a potential landing spot for Sanders, with reports from Todd McShay confirming that head coach Mike Tomlin likes him as much as any other coach in the league.

“I tend to trust where I get this information,” McShay said. “Mike Tomlin really likes Shedeur. If he’s there at 21, Shedeur could very well be a Pittsburgh Steeler.”

That possibility would be quite a surprise, as it’s hard to imagine Sanders slipping all the way to the Steelers’ pick at 21st overall.

However, it’s no secret that his draft stock has taken quite a hit over the past few weeks. Plus, if the Steelers like him as much as they reportedly do, they could always trade up to grab him.

Sanders’ recent visit to the Steelers’ facility has only added fuel to the fire.

Following the visit, Sanders was enthusiastic about the experience, calling it a “10 out of 10.” His connection with the team seems to be genuine, but it remains to be seen if the Steelers will end up being in position to draft him.

Meanwhile, the New York Giants are also keeping a close eye on Sanders as they look toward the future of their quarterback position.

The Giants, holding the No. 3 overall pick, have decided to bring Sanders in for a private workout just a week before the draft.

This extra evaluation suggests they’re not ruling out the possibility of adding him to their roster, despite signing veteran quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson this offseason.

There’s also speculation that the Giants are only “pretending” to be interested in Sanders in an attempt to trick other teams – such as the Saints and possibly the Steelers – into trading up with them.

What are your thoughts on the reports that Tomlin and the Steelers really like Sanders?

While we all wait on Aaron Rodgers’ decision, there have been rumblings that Pittsburgh could be interested in drafting either Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart or Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

However, could it be Sanders who the Steelers truly have their eye on???
