CeeDee Lamb Breaks Silence On George Pickens Drama

The Dallas Cowboys’ blockbuster trade for wide receiver George Pickens has sparked plenty of conversation – not just about his explosive playmaking ability or his troubled exit from the Pittsburgh Steelers, but about how he’ll mesh with established star CeeDee Lamb.

Now, with training camp rapidly approaching, Lamb is already making it clear: there’s room for two alphas in Dallas.

Following the trade, Lamb posted on social media that he has “no ego,” and over the weekend, he reinforced that sentiment with a strong endorsement of his new teammate.

“Oh no, we both ones,” Lamb told All City DLLS. “It ain’t no A/B, none of that, it’s one. You look over there you see one, you look over here, you see another one. So do what you gotta do with that.”

Lamb’s comments mirror the confidence Pickens displayed when addressing Dallas media for the first time after the trade.

“When I used to watch football. there was always a good receiver and there was always a good receiver on the side of him,” Pickens said. “So I just feel like we’re going to work off each other really well.”

The Cowboys clearly envision Pickens adding a dynamic vertical dimension to the offense and giving Lamb more favorable matchups.

On paper, the duo could form one of the most dangerous receiving tandems in the league – if they can keep chemistry and egos in check.

Both receivers thrive on volume and have been vocal about their roles in the past.

Maintaining balance will fall largely on quarterback Dak Prescott and new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who must find ways to keep both playmakers consistently involved.

Still, with both Lamb and Pickens publicly embracing a shared WR1 identity, Dallas may have already cleared one of the biggest potential hurdles.

Whether this partnership flourishes or falters will depend not just on talent, but on trust – in each other, in the offense, and in a common goal.

For now, they’re saying all the right things – and they deserve credit for that.

The question is, when adversity inevitably hits during the season, will Lamb and/or Pickens begin to cause trouble???
