As the 2025 NFL season looms on the horizon, Kyle Pitts of the Atlanta Falcons is emerging as a prominent name in trade conversations. Despite the Falcons’ relatively quiet offseason regarding the tight end position and their recent decision to pick up Pitts’ fifth-year option, the door remains open for a trade if the right opportunity presents itself.

Zac Robinson, the Falcons’ offensive coordinator, recently expressed optimism about Pitts’ potential for growth this season. “I’m expecting Kyle to take a big jump,” Robinson shared. “Year 2 of the system. Year 2 of understanding what we’re trying to do offensively. All those things come with it, so expecting a lot of good things from Kyle.” These encouraging words suggest that the team views Pitts as a central piece of their offensive strategy moving forward. However, one could wonder if Robinson’s comments also serve to enhance Pitts’ trade value, especially after a less-than-stellar performance in the 2024 season.

Looking ahead, a trade to the Denver Broncos might offer the ideal scenario for Pitts. The Broncos need a dynamic receiving threat to complement their young quarterback, Bo Nix, who is still finding his footing in the league. With Courtland Sutton as the primary option, adding someone like Pitts would significantly bolster their receiving corps. While they did bring in Pat Bryant during the 2025 NFL Draft, the Broncos are still working on developing young talents like Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin, who have yet to demonstrate the consistency required for a second reliable option.

Pitts, while not a traditional wide receiver, possesses exceptional receiving skills that could elevate the tight end role in Denver’s offense. In a Sean Payton-led scheme, the tight end is a pivotal component, and currently, the Broncos are relying on Evan Engram to fill that gap. A trade for Pitts would be a strategic move for the Broncos, especially given that he’s entering a contract year. If the opportunity to secure his talents arises, it’s a deal they should seriously consider making.
