NFC East Rivals Jealous Of Cowboys Trade For George Pickens

The Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver room just got a major upgrade – and it has caught the attention of even their fiercest rivals.

Following the Cowboys’ trade for former Steelers wideout George Pickens, Dallas Pro Bowl receiver CeeDee Lamb declared that the team now boasts “two No. 1 receivers.”

One of the NFL’s top pass-catchers, Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown, agrees – and isn’t taking the move lightly.

“I like that, I ain’t gonna lie,” Brown admitted. “We’re going to have to worry about [Dallas], for sure. We’re going to have to worry about them.

“I like the trade. I do like the trade. I like the competition. I like George Pickens, I like CeeDee Lamb. And they collab.”

Brown didn’t just respect the move – he embraced the challenge.

“It’s going to be exciting to watch,” Brown added. “Because all that does is bring the best out of us. So, if we know how they coming, we are going to have to step it up.”

Needless to say, the NFC East is quickly turning into a wide receiver arms race.

The Eagles already feature a dominant duo in Brown and DeVonta Smith. Now, with Lamb and Pickens forming a tandem in Dallas, the Cowboys are poised to field one of the league’s most dangerous aerial attacks.

In Washington, the newly acquired Deebo Samuel joins forces with Terry McLaurin to create another formidable combo.

Even the rebuilding New York Giants are showing promise, with Malik Nabers – selected sixth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft – quickly making noise as a breakout candidate.

Last season, Philadelphia swept Dallas 2-0 en route to a Super Bowl LIX victory, with Dak Prescott sidelined for both games.

But Brown emphasized that games within the division are always hard-fought battles, no matter the outcome.

“Regardless of the scoreboard or what the score says, those are one of the hardest games,” Brown explained. “Every single time. Cowboys, Washington, those are dog fights. It may look easy, but it ain’t easy.”

Since joining the Eagles in 2022, Brown has delivered elite production – racking up 261 receptions for 4,031 yards and 25 touchdowns over three seasons.

As the Cowboys reload with firepower of their own, Brown knows the rivalry – and the competition – is only heating up.

What are your thoughts on Dallas’ trade for Pickens? … Do you take the tandem of Pickens and Lamb over Brown and Smith???
