The NFL has officially confirmed that 17 college football prospects will be present at the upcoming draft in Green Bay, signaling an exciting gathering of future stars.
Among the standout names is Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter from Colorado, despite earlier statements from Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders.
Back in January, Sanders had revealed that the school would host a public draft-day celebration for Hunter and his teammate Shedeur Sanders.
However, Hunter has reportedly decided to attend the draft in-person, with Sanders expected to remain back as originally planned.
Of course, Hunter is also in the news for a more dramatic reason today – as he revealed that he doesn’t want to continue to play football if he’s not allowed to play both wide receiver and defensive back.
Just how serious Hunter is with that stance remains to be seen. While some teams are open to having him play both ways, others much rather him focus primarily on one position.
In terms of quarterbacks, three are making the trip to Green Bay: Cam Ward from the University of Miami, Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss, and Jalen Milroe from Alabama.
Ward is particularly notable, with expectations high that he could be selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.
It will be interesting to see how long Milroe will have to wait to hear his name called, as some analysts don’t view him as a first or even second round talent.
All together, Milroe’s Crimson Tide has three players confirmed to attend the event, while Georgia and Michigan are each sending two players.
