Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is all-in on the idea of Aaron Rodgers leading his team in 2025.
Speaking on his podcast, the Pro Bowl defensive end made it clear that he believes Rodgers is poised for a major comeback – and he wants that resurgence to happen in silver and black.
“First year after an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do,” Crosby said of Rodgers’ brutal injury. “I think with all the doubt, all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers, ‘Oh, he needs to retire,’ things like that, he’s getting cut by the Jets, I think he’s going to come back and have a – I know he’s 42 or 41, but I think he’s going to have a big year this year, and I hope it’s in our town.”
The 41-year-old Rodgers endured one of the most difficult seasons of his career in 2024.
However, Crosby believes that the lingering effects of his 2023 Achilles injury were largely responsible and expects the four-time MVP to bounce back in a big way next season.
“I think this year, fully healthy, full offseason, my prediction is he’s going to have a great year,” Crosby said.
The Raiders have already explored veteran quarterback options, making a failed attempt to acquire Matthew Stafford from the Rams.
Now they must shift their focus elsewhere and Rodgers (along with Sam Darnold) figure to be in-play.
It’s no secret that Crosby hasn’t always been thrilled with the direction of the franchise. Some fans were worried that his days in Vegas could be numbered because of it.
Fortunately, whether with or without Rodgers, it’s now official that Crosby isn’t going anywhere … He just signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension to remain in the Silver and Black.
Now, let’s see if the Raiders can lure in Maxx’s quarterback of choice …. What do you think???
