Tom Brady’s Raiders Set To Shock The NFL World

The Las Vegas Raiders’ search for a new head coach hit a snag as Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is reportedly finalizing a deal to join the Chicago Bears.

With Johnson off the table, the Raiders are now exploring other candidates, and one surprising name has surfaced: Pete Carroll, the longtime former head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.

ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio speculated that Carroll, one of the most accomplished coaches in recent NFL history, could be a serious option for Las Vegas.

Carroll was transitioned to a front-office role for the 2024 season after the Seahawks decided to move on from him as head coach following the 2023 campaign.

His successor, Mike Macdonald, was hired to take over after Carroll’s 14-year tenure in Seattle.

Carroll’s time with the Seahawks was marked by success, including a historic victory in Super Bowl XLVIII, where Seattle dominated the Denver Broncos 43-8.

The following season, he led the team back to the Super Bowl but came up just one yard short of consecutive championships, losing to the New England Patriots in the final seconds of Super Bowl XLIX.

In total, Carroll guided the Seahawks to 10 playoff appearances, compiling an impressive record of 181-131-1.

He remains the most experienced and accomplished head coach currently available, and that résumé may appeal to a Raiders organization eager to reverse its fortunes.

Minority owner Tom Brady, who is reportedly heavily involved in the coaching search, is focused on assembling a winning team as quickly as possible.

Bringing in Carroll would be a bold move, signaling the Raiders’ intent to turn things around immediately.

Though Carroll did not coach during the 2024 season, he is reportedly very eager to return to the sidelines and recently expressed interest in the Chicago Bears opening.

The Raiders face a critical offseason, and hiring a proven leader like Carroll could provide them with much-needed stability.

However, even with a strong coaching hire, significant challenges lie ahead.

Brady and the Raiders must address key roster weaknesses, particularly at quarterback, where they lack a long-term solution.

What are your thoughts on the Raiders possibly hiring Carroll???
