The New Orleans Saints had a rough season, finishing 5-12 after a promising start. Head coach Dennis Allen was shown the door, and it’s clear that big changes are needed in the Big Easy. One of the biggest question marks is the quarterback position.

Derek Carr’s time in New Orleans might be coming to an end. He’s been decent, but not the game-changer the Saints were hoping for. And with the team in a bit of a salary cap crunch, Carr’s hefty contract is a problem. He’s said he’s open to restructuring his deal, but he’s not willing to take a pay cut. Can’t really blame him for wanting to get paid, but it might be time for the Saints to move on and find a more affordable option.

The good news is that the 2025 NFL Draft has a potential franchise quarterback who could be the perfect fit for the Saints: Jaxson Dart.

Now, I know everyone’s talking about Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward, but Dart is the real deal. He’s been playing under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss, and he’s got all the tools to succeed at the next level.

Dart has a cannon for an arm and can make throws to all levels of the field. He’s a smart quarterback who can read defenses and make adjustments at the line of scrimmage. And he’s incredibly accurate, with over 11,000 passing yards and 81 touchdowns to just 27 interceptions in his college career.

But Dart’s not just a pocket passer. He can make plays with his legs too, rushing for over 1,500 yards and 14 touchdowns in college. He’s a dynamic playmaker who could bring a new dimension to the Saints’ offense.

Dart has the potential to be a star in the NFL. He’s got the talent, the leadership, and the work ethic to turn the Saints around. If the Saints can land him in the draft, they might just have their quarterback of the future. Keep an eye on this kid, folks, because he’s going to be special.
