Skip Bayless Finally Breaks His Silence

Sports media personality Skip Bayless, a figure known for stirring controversy, is under fire yet again.

This time, the debate-loving broadcaster is at the center of a sexual harassment case involving allegations of an indecent proposal.

Yet, while these allegations dominate headlines, Bayless has remained silent about the case thus far.

Instead, he’s attempting to redirect attention with social media posts touting his fandom for the Dallas Cowboys and weighing in on football debates like the MVP race between quarterbacks Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

In a recent video, Bayless addressed his views on the MVP race, focusing on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Despite Jackson leading his team to the AFC North crown and delivering impressive stats – 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, just four interceptions, 915 rushing yards, and four rushing touchdowns – Bayless expressed reservations.

“I can make a strong case that Lamar Jackson deserves MVP, but I don’t want him to win again,” Bayless said. “I want him to win the AFC Championship Game. I wouldn’t mind it if he won his first Super Bowl.

“But no MVP when, unfortunately, Lamar is just 2-4 in the playoffs. He (has) six touchdowns to six interceptions in the playoffs, with three lost fumbles.”

Bayless’s critique is not without merit.

Jackson, a two-time league MVP, has faced extreme scrutiny for his poor playoff performances.

Across six seasons, he holds a 2-4 postseason record and has struggled mightily to replicate his regular-season dominance under the playoff spotlight.

His most recent postseason appearance saw the Ravens fall to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game, where Jackson’s performance was among his worst of the season.

As Bayless pointed out, Jackson must deliver in the postseason.

The MVP debate is a fascinating one. Most people feel that Bills quarterback Josh Allen is most deserving of the award.

Besides being among the league leaders in virtually every single category, you could make the strong argument that no player in the league has as much responsibility on his shoulders than Allen does.

Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow would be a near-lock to win the award had the Bengals made the playoffs. Even so, he still has a slugger’s chance. That’s how insane his personal performance has been this season.

What are your thoughts on the MVP race?

As for Jackson, is this the year he and the Ravens finally get over the hump and win the Super Bowl???
