Tom Brady Aggressively Pursuing Bill Belichick For Raiders Job

According to a shocking report, Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders are actively pursuing Bill Belichick for their vacant head coach position.

Of course, Belichick just recently accepted the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina.

However, his buy-out clause and certain language in his contract has led to suspicion that he may never actually coach a game for the Tar Heels.

Despite stating over and over just how excited and energized he is to be leading a college program, some have speculated that deep-down the NFL has always been his priority.

Perhaps Brady is just covering his bases, but fresh off firing Antonio Pierce, TB12 and the Raiders are trying to lure Belichick out to Vegas.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Raiders are not the only NFL team who has contacted Belichick to gauge his interest in returning to the professional ranks.

“Multiple NFL teams have inquired about whether legendary coach Bill Belichick would reconsider his move to college football — including the Las Vegas Raiders, whose new minority owner Tom Brady spoke recently with his old coach about what it would take to make a reunion happen in Las Vegas, per sources.,” Pelissero reported on X.

Belichick was recently hired as the head coach at the University of North Carolina, but that hasn’t stopped discussions about a potential return to the NFL.

Brady, who now owns a minority stake in the Raiders, will reportedly have a ton of say and influence into all football decisions in Vegas despite being an “impartial” analyst for FOX Sports.

“Brady has been in touch with Belichick recently as the Raiders weighed the future of head coach Antonio Pierce, who was fired on Tuesday after going 4-13 in his lone season as the full-time head coach,” Pelissero added.

“Brady and Belichick won six Super Bowls together with the Patriots, and sources say Brady believes the situation in Las Vegas requires a coach of Belichick’s expertise and stature to establish a sustainable winning program.”

The Raiders’ interest in Belichick has been a topic of speculation ever since Brady’s minority stake in the team was approved.

Richard Seymour, another former Patriots player under Belichick, is also part of the Raiders’ ownership group, further fueling the connection.

Meanwhile, the Raiders are exploring other candidates as part of their comprehensive search.

NFL insider Albert Breer of TheMMQB reported that the team has already requested interviews with Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

Brady and the Raiders are also said to be extremely interested in Mike Vrabel. (In other words, Las Vegas could soon become New England West.)

What are your thoughts on the shocking Belichick developments?

Could you see it actually happening? … Not that he would care, but just how bad would Belichick look if he bailed on UNC after just accepting the job???
