Unlikely for Texas Star Receiver To Play Vs. Clemson

Alright folks, it looks like the Texas Longhorns might be heading into their College Football Playoff matchup against Clemson without one of their biggest weapons.

Word on the street is that wide receiver Isaiah Bond is dealing with a nasty high ankle sprain and might not be ready to suit up. He’s been limited in practice all week, and it sounds like it could be a game-time decision.

Now, losing Bond would be a tough blow for the Longhorns. This guy’s been a playmaker all season, hauling in 33 receptions for 532 yards and five touchdowns. He’s a key part of their offense, and they’d definitely miss his explosiveness.

Remember, this is Bond’s first season in Austin after transferring from Alabama. He decided to make the move and join the Longhorns, and he’s made a big impact.

Of course, the Longhorns are coming off a tough loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship game. If they had won that one, they would’ve gotten a bye to the quarterfinals. But hey, that’s football, right?

Now they’re facing a Clemson team that just won a nail-biter against SMU in the ACC Championship. Clemson had to hold off a furious comeback attempt by the Mustangs and kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired.

The Longhorns and Tigers will kick off at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, and it’s sure to be a great game. This is the College Football Playoff, folks, and every game is a must-watch!
