The Whispers Are Getting Louder: Is Arch Manning Michigan Bound?

Well, Wolverines fans, it seems the hangover from that National Championship victory was a rough one. Losing key players like JJ McCarthy and the mastermind himself, Jim Harbaugh, was always going to be tough. But a 7-5 record? That’s not exactly the Michigan we’ve come to expect. Sherrone Moore has his work cut out for him if he wants to keep his job past next season.

One of the biggest issues was the quarterback carousel. Davis Warren, Jack Tuttle, and Alex Orji all got their shot, but let’s be honest, that’s not a recipe for success. Consistency is key in college football, and Michigan just didn’t have it under center. Moore needs to hit the transfer portal and find a real difference-maker at quarterback.

And you know who I think would be the perfect fit? None other than Arch Manning.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: why would Manning leave Texas? He’s got a clear path to the starting job once Quinn Ewers heads to the NFL. But here’s the thing: the Longhorns offense isn’t exactly doing Ewers any favors. His draft stock is taking a hit, and it’s clear that the system is holding him back.

When Manning got his chance, he looked pretty darn good. He threw for almost 1,000 yards, nine touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He even showed off his running ability with three rushing touchdowns. The kid has a quick release, great processing ability, and can make all the throws. He’s the kind of modern quarterback who can make things happen both inside and outside the pocket.

Imagine Manning in maize and blue, leading that Michigan offense. It could be just what the Wolverines need to get back to the top of the college football world. Sure, it’s a long shot, but hey, stranger things have happened.
