Steelers Star Takes Shot At Teammate’s Girlfriend

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the best stories in the NFL this season.

At 9-3, Mike Tomlin’s team has exceeded most everyone’s expectations and are shaping up to be a very tough-out in the postseason.

New offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has worked wonders and is a major reason why quarterback Russell Wilson is experiencing an impressive resurgence in Pittsburgh.

Interestingly, yesterday’s wild 44-38 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals came with an unexpected twist involving running back Najee Harris.

The star rusher briefly exited the game in the first quarter for what was initially reported as a leg injury.

However, Harris later revealed the real culprit behind his early absence: an indulgent Thanksgiving dish made by teammate Pat Freiermuth’s girlfriend, Jill.

“Thanksgiving, Pat’s girlfriend, Jill, made some fine-ass, little banana thing, and I had too much … I guess I didn’t know that it affected me until that first drive,” Harris joked after the game.

Harris appeared sluggish during the Steelers’ second offensive series, prompting his brief removal from the game.

After a few minutes on the sideline and some quick orange slices, the dynamic running back was ready to go.

Once Harris returned to the field during Pittsburgh’s fourth possession, he erased any doubts about his fitness.

He capped off the drive with a dazzling 10-yard touchdown run, showcasing his signature blend of power and finesse.

Following the victory, Harris credited his offensive line for their stellar blocking performance.

Rookie center Zach Frazier, who delivered a key block on Harris’ touchdown, relished the moment. “It feels great. It’s a great feeling to make a block that results in a score,” he said.

Harris finished the game with an impressive 129 all-purpose yards on 22 touches, a reflection of both his resilience and growing connection with his blockers.

The performance continued a breakout season for Harris, who has been pivotal to Pittsburgh’s success.

Meanwhile, Wilson delivered a vintage performance, throwing for 414 yards and three touchdowns.

The veteran QB distributed the ball effectively to his receivers, helping the Steelers’ offense put up its most balanced and explosive showing of the season.

“Everything just clicked today,” Frazier said. “That whole game in general was just a lot of fun.

“Every time we take the field, I feel like we’re trying to score, and I feel like today, that’s what we did.”

Oh, and as everyone knows, Jill’s popular boyfriend got into the scoring mix as well…

The win improved the Steelers to 9-3, solidifying their playoff position in a crowded AFC race.

Harris’ lighthearted tale of overindulgence and recovery served as a humorous footnote to an electrifying game.

As Pittsburgh’s offense continues to gel, their sights are set firmly on a deep postseason run which was once thought to be unlikely.

What are your thoughts on the Steelers this season? … Can Wilson actually lead them to the Super Bowl???
