Former NFL center and ESPN personality Jason Kelce faced a heated confrontation with an angry autograph seeker last night after leaving a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Hollywood.
The incident, captured on video by TMZ, unfolded behind the studio where several fans had gathered to request autographs.
The tension escalated when the future Hall of Famer declined to stop and sign for the crowd.
One fan reacted aggressively, shouting, “You ain’t nobody special!”
The man could be heard adding: “You’re some sh*tbag, f*cking guy that thinks he’s on some pedestal!”
The man continued berating Kelce, accusing him of having an arrogant, big-timer attitude as he referenced local dangers.
“There is death in these f*cking streets two blocks away and you’re being a d*ck,” he shouted.
Kelce, trying to de-escalate the situation, explained his reasoning, saying he doesn’t sign autographs for “people that follow where I’m going.”
Despite the explanation, the man remained enraged, calling Kelce a “punk f*ck” and challenging him by saying, “I’ll take you on any time.”
Eventually, Kelce exited the vehicle he had entered, attempting to calm the situation by agreeing to sign autographs for those present, including the man who had verbally attacked him.
As Kelce began signing, the man’s tone shifted dramatically.
“I’m ashamed of that moment,” the man admitted, repeatedly apologizing for his behavior and pleading with others not to share the video.
“I feel you and I appreciate you,” Kelce responded, shaking the man’s hand and diffusing the situation.
The exchange marked a stark contrast to another recent encounter involving Kelce at Penn State.
Earlier this month, Kelce drew headlines for knocking a phone out of a fan’s hand after the fan directed a slur at his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
Kelce later apologized for that incident during an appearance on Monday Night Countdown.
To his credit, Kelce defused the situation last night and showed the angry fan respect.
