The Kansas City Chiefs just made a major move to strengthen their offense, acquiring star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans in a trade that could make the two-time defending champs even stronger.
With several key offensive players sidelined due to injuries, the Chiefs brought in the five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro to give Patrick Mahomes a potent new weapon in his passing attack.
The timing of the trade couldn’t be better for Kansas City.
Mahomes has been without several top playmakers, including running back Isaiah Pacheco and wide receivers Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Rashee Rice, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, who have all been sidelined by injuries.

In six games this season, Hopkins has logged 15 receptions for 173 yards and one touchdown for the struggling Titans, but in Kansas City’s high-powered offense, those numbers could rise quickly.
Even with a roster hit by injuries, the Chiefs remain the NFL’s last undefeated team.
This is the third time under head coach Andy Reid that Kansas City has been the final unbeaten squad in the league, a feat they also achieved in 2013 and 2017.
Looking ahead, the Chiefs have some favorable matchups in the coming weeks.
They face the Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Denver Broncos in the next three games, all winnable contests for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
However, the schedule toughens as the season progresses, with challenging games against the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and Pittsburgh Steelers later in the year.
