Bill Belichick is currently one of the most talked-about people in sports, and for once, the conversation has absolutely nothing to do with football.
As we all know by now, the 72-year-old Belichick is currently dating 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.
The shocking 48-year age gap has caused a massive debate in the gossip world.
Many people find it creepy that the legendary coach is with someone young enough to be his granddaughter. While others are happy for Belichick and see absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Regardless of which side of the fence you reside on, it seems that the couple is getting more and more serious by the day.
According to reports, the former cheerleader moved in with Belichick earlier this year and the pair have been spotted together often.
Hopefully Belichick and Hudson are happy together.
Having said that, you can only imagine the type of conversations that are being had among Belichick’s former players – especially the old New England guard…
Speaking of which, Rob Gronkowski just joined Julian Edelman on his entertaining “Games with Names” podcast to discuss the interesting situation.
During their conversation, Gronkowski and Edelman revisited a well-known rule among Patriots players, referred to as the “trifecta,” which Belichick had advised his team to avoid.
The three advisories were: alcohol, assh*les, and girls.
Gronkowski asked Edelman to recount these prohibitions, adding a humorous twist to the conversation.
“He always told us there’s three things out there that don’t get caught up in,” Gronk explained.
“Alcohol was one, and Coach Belichick did not partake in alcohol, I can tell you that … A-holes is number two, and I would say Coach Belichick did partake in being an a-hole sometimes, but not anymore. I love him now.”
The conversation took an amusing turn when the duo spoke about Belichick’s current relationship status, especially in light of his previous advice about avoiding girls.
Gronkowski humorously noted, “Yeah, girls (the third), girls … Now he’s all caught up with the girls.”
Gronkowski wondered if since Belichick is no longer coaching, perhaps the coach could get a pass from the trifecta rule.
“Oh wait, timeout. He’s not coaching anymore though. So that’s a pass. He’s allowed to be in the trifecta. Watch out. He’s gonna be blacked out, hammered every night now!” he said.
Of course, this is not the first time Gronk has publicly spoke about Belichick’s love life. Although the first time he did, only those in the inner-circle knew what exactly he was referring to.
At the recent Tom Brady Roast, Gronk took the stage and spoke about Belichick and young woman.
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend!”
What are your thoughts on Belichick dating someone so much younger than him?
Are you happy for Bill? … Or do you agree with three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth who referred to Belichick as a “pig” for entering into the “disgusting” relationship?
Or do you simply think that none of it is anyone’s business?
Most importantly, do you think we’ll see Belichick back in the NFL next year???
