Shedeur Sanders Speculated To Be Cowboys Next QB

With less than a week to go before the Dallas Cowboys kick off their season, franchise quarterback Dak Prescott remains without a contract extension, leaving his future with the team shrouded in uncertainty.

As the dust settles from CeeDee Lamb’s recent extension, the ongoing drama surrounding Prescott’s contract has become a source of frustration, not only for the quarterback but also for his teammates.

Prescott himself recently hinted at his weariness with the situation, stating that the constant speculation had grown tiresome.

The tension surrounding Prescott’s contract isn’t just felt by him, but also by those around the team.

During a recent appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up,” former NFL executive Mike Tannenbaum speculated that Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders might have a better chance of leading the Cowboys next season than Prescott.

“There’s a better chance, in my opinion, that Shedeur Sanders could be the quarterback there next year than Dak Prescott at this point,” Tannenbaum said, fueling further speculation about Prescott’s future.

Cowboys defensive back Jourdan Lewis quickly expressed his frustration with such speculation, taking to social media to voice his displeasure: “I can’t emphasize enough how much I can’t stand you mfs.”

As the questions surrounding Prescott’s contract continue to swirl, the uncertainty is clearly wearing on the team.

Despite the distractions, Prescott has remained fully committed, attending all necessary team activities without complaint or disruption.

His teammates, who work closely with him every day, continue to back their quarterback wholeheartedly, even as outside voices cast doubt on his future.

Lewis’ pointed remarks underscore the fact that Prescott’s importance to the team goes beyond his performances on Sundays … Dak has always been respected for his inspiring work-ethic and leadership.

While Tannenbaum may have been looking for attention with his comments on Sanders, the fact is he’s not the first person who’s speculated that Deion’s son is destined for Dallas.

Of course, a whole lot can and will happen between now and the draft in April – that’s for damn sure. Having said that, what are your thoughts on Prescott’s contract situation?

What will end up happening?

From strictly a prospect standpoint, do you think Sanders is as special as what many crack him out to be? … Or will he end up being much more hype than substance???
