More Trouble In The SEC As Star Player Arrested For Attempted MURDER … What Will The Fallout Be??

LSU freshman tailback Trey Holly turned himself in to the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

He is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a weapon, all stemming from a shooting incident that occurred last week in Farmerville, Louisiana.

According to Sheriff Dusty Gates of the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office, Holly surrendered around noon and is presently being held on a substantial bond of $512,000.

Holly’s arrest is reportedly one of three linked to the February 9 shooting, during which two individuals sustained gunshot wounds.

Fortunately, both victims are anticipated to recover from their injuries.

In addition to attempted murder, Holly faces charges of aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon, both categorized as felonies, as confirmed by Sheriff Gates.

LSU swiftly responded to the situation by suspending Holly indefinitely from all football-related activities.

In a statement, the university acknowledged the arrest of a student-athlete in connection to the Union Parish shooting.

Holly, a standout high school athlete from Union Parish High School, arrived at LSU with an impressive track record, having set Louisiana’s all-time rushing record with an astounding 10,523 yards and scoring 160 touchdowns throughout his high school career.

He was ranked as the #10 running back and the #172 overall player in the Class of 2023.

Holly’s future is now clouded by the serious legal charges he faces, casting a shadow over his once-bright prospects both on the football field and beyond.

What are your thoughts on the situation???
