Giants Pitcher, Logan Webb, Gets Interview Interrupted By Massive Fart and Can’t Help But Laugh

Logan Webb delivered one of his best outings of the season on Friday night — but it was a postgame moment, not his pitching, that had everyone in the locker room cracking up.

After striking out 12 and allowing just one run on four hits against the Los Angeles Angels, Webb was handling his media availability when one of his teammates let loose a loud fart in the background. The 28-year-old tried to fight through it but eventually had to pause, laughing and briefly covering his nose.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, guys,” Webb said with a grin. “Farts are always funny, not going to lie.”

Despite the unexpected interruption, Webb had plenty to be proud of after his performance on the mound. He didn’t issue a single walk, joining rare company in Giants history. Since 1983, only four San Francisco pitchers — including Madison Bumgarner, Tim Lincecum, and Juan Marichal — have recorded multiple starts with at least 10 strikeouts and no walks. Webb is now part of that elite group.

Asked about the milestone after regaining his composure, Webb reflected on what it meant to him personally.

“I look up to those guys. I grew up in the area, and I grew up watching those guys,” Webb said. “Any time you’re in a list with those guys, I think you’re doing all right.”

While Webb turned in a gem, the Giants couldn’t find the offense to back him up, falling 2-0 to the Angels. It’s a tough loss to swallow, especially when your starter puts together that kind of dominant performance.

Still, on a night where the Giants came up short on the scoreboard, Webb managed to add his name to franchise history — and leave the clubhouse with a moment that, for better or worse, everyone will remember.
