In the NFL, certain fanbases often earn a reputation for being the “worst” in the league.
The usual suspects include the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles among many others … However, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has a different team in mind.
During an appearance on the YouTube show “Hot Ones” with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Adams singled out the Washington Commanders as having the single worst fanbase in the NFL.
“The Washington Football Team, they obviously just miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all,” Adams remarked.
Adams did mention other teams before focusing on the Commanders. He referenced the Eagles, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills, calling the latter “disrespectful” for their notorious snowball-throwing behavior.
The harshest comments were reserved for the Commanders.
Adams criticized FedEx Field, pointing out its notorious poor conditions, which have led to multiple accidents.
In fairness, “worst fanbase” can be interpreted in a few different ways. However, Adams made it clear he was speaking about the overall picture.
His strong words for Washington were pretty surprising, given his limited connection to the team.
Adams and St. Brown’s appearance on “Hot Ones” was part of their promotion for the new Netflix show “Receivers,” where Adams recently went viral due to his visible frustration with the Raiders.
Interestingly, the Raiders and the Commanders won’t meet on the field this season, denying Adams the chance to face the fans he criticized.
But it’s safe to say paths will cross at some point.
