San Francisco Giants pitcher Logan Webb made a surprising admission about his performance during the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.
Speaking on a recent episode of “The Chris Rose Rotation,” Webb revealed that he was hungover during the game, which may have affected how he pitched.
“The best part was the night before the All-Star Game. I got to watch the Home Run Derby and hang out with these guys.” Webb said.
However, the fun came with a price…
“It was probably one of the more hungover days I’ve (had),” he confessed. “The day of the All-Star Game. I take responsibility for that. I was having a blast. It was a cool experience.”
Webb, who has had a strong season with a 12-9 record and a 3.46 ERA over 30 games, added that his condition made even the simplest tasks challenging.
“It was hard to jog out to the mound,” he admitted, underscoring the effects of his hangover during the game.
Webb remains a key player for the Giants in his sixth season with the team. Although San Francisco currently holds a 72-75 record and is unlikely to make the playoffs, Webb’s All-Star Game experience is one he won’t soon forget.
We’ve heard legendary hangover stories through the years. After all, David Wells pitched a perfect game for the New York Yankees while severely hungover.
What are your thoughts on Webb’s admission???
