Cam Skattebo Accused Of Ruining Arizona State’s Season With Late-Night Partying

In many ways, Arizona State star running back Cam Skattebo was the star of the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.

Despite the Sun Devils’ heartbreaking loss to the Texas Longhorns on New Year’s Day, Skattebo certainly had nothing to hang his head about.

While football is the ultimate team sport, Skattebo was as close to a one-man show as you could possibly get against the Longhorns.

It was well-documented that Skattebo lost his breakfast a few times on the sidelines during the game.

Cameras often caught him hunched over and breathing heavy. Some fans wondered if his vomiting bouts had to do with him partying a little too hard the night before.

Right on cue, Skattebo had a response ready for a fan who accused him of such behavior.

The fan’s unfounded claim, posted alongside a photo on social media, implied that Skattebo was out drinking late the night before the game.

As the college football world knows, Skattebo’s performance in the Sun Devils’ 39-31 loss was nothing short of remarkable.

The dynamic running back rushed for 143 yards, caught eight passes for 99 yards, and even threw a 42-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, nearly willing his team to victory.

But after the game, Skattebo became the subject of online scrutiny when a fan shared a photo of him at a bar, writing: “Checks out – Cam was out late last night in classic ASU fashion. This is why we aren’t a football school.”

The post drew widespread attention, but Skattebo was quick to set the record straight with a pointed response:

“Dudes a clown, that was at 830 pm and I was with family. Yes they were drinking alcohol, and if you knew anything about me you know I don’t drink. But I’m sure you posted this because you couldn’t get a picture or autograph. Man some people just want the clout and it’s sickening,” Skattebo responded on X.

The fan deleted their social media account shortly after Skattebo’s reply.

As for his vomiting, Skattebo revealed it was caused by him chugging water and Powerade too quickly.

Despite the loss, Skattebo’s stellar performance and no-nonsense clapback have only amplified his reputation as one of college football’s most electrifying and outspoken players.
