Cam Newton Faces Lack Of Attention From NFL Franchises

Cam Newton remains eager to continue his NFL career, but the quarterback has encountered a notable absence of interest from teams. Speaking with Dan Patrick on the “Dan Patrick Show,” Newton disclosed that he hasn’t received any calls from NFL teams in over two years.

The last time Newton played in the NFL was during his stint with the Carolina Panthers in 2021. Across eight games, he completed 54.8% of his passes, accumulating 684 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions. This marked his second tenure with the Panthers, where he had initially spent the first nine seasons of his career.

In between his Panthers stints, Newton had a season with the New England Patriots in 2020. In 15 starts, he threw for 2,657 yards, eight touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Despite his desire to return to the field, Newton is currently awaiting any potential calls from NFL teams that might be interested in his services.
