It seems that Bryan Reynolds will be sticking to the outfield, despite previous speculation about a move to first base. This decision makes sense for the Pirates, as it allows them to keep their best defensive outfielder in the outfield, especially with the uncertainty surrounding their other outfielders.

Reynolds has played all three outfield positions throughout his career, but he’s primarily been a center fielder and left fielder. Moving to right field will be a bit of an adjustment, but he has the athleticism and arm strength to make the transition smoothly.

The Pirates will need to find another solution at first base until Spencer Horwitz returns from injury. They have a few internal options, but none of them are particularly exciting. It’ll be interesting to see how they address this situation and whether they’ll consider moving Reynolds to first base later in the season if needed.
