Breaking News: Jacksonville Jaguars Share Important Injury Update About Star QB Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars have given an update on star quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s injury, and it seems that he has avoided a major setback.

During the Jaguars’ Monday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Lawrence suffered an injury in the fourth quarter, forcing him to leave the game. Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard stepped in to finish the match, which the Bengals ultimately won in overtime with a final score of 34-31.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the initial diagnosis for Lawrence is an ankle sprain. However, Lawrence is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to get a clearer picture of the extent of the injury.

Despite the loss on Sunday, the Jaguars, with a record of 8-4, continue to lead the AFC South division by a margin of almost two games. They hold the tiebreaker advantage over both the Houston Texans (7-5) and the Indianapolis Colts (7-5) with five games remaining in the season. The Jaguars have already completed their season series against both of these division rivals.
