Excitement Builds As Ohio State Makes Major Recruiting Splash

Jett Harrison, the younger brother of 2024 NFL Draft No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr., announced via Instagram that he has received a scholarship offer from Ohio State – the very school where his brother became a college football superstar.

Posting a simple message on his Instagram story, Jett shared: “Thanks for the offer.”

Though part of the Class of 2028, Jett is already generating buzz on the recruiting trail.

He currently plays wide receiver for St. Joseph’s Prep School in Philadelphia, the same city where Marvin Jr. played high school football before launching his career with the Buckeyes.

Jett’s recruiting profile is beginning to build.

In addition to Ohio State, he has already received offers from Tennessee, Boston College, Syracuse, and Duke, showing that top programs are taking early notice of the rising prospect.

Marvin Harrison Jr. was a standout at Ohio State, becoming one of the most dominant receivers in college football before being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals a year ago.

Now, it appears the Buckeyes are hoping to extend the Harrison family legacy.

Last fall, Marvin Jr. spoke glowingly about his younger brother’s potential in an interview with The Lantern.

“He’s great. He’s definitely more talented than I ever was at that age,” he said. “He sees me here [at Ohio State] and naturally he wants to follow in my footsteps.”

At the time, Jett was just 14 years old. Now, not even in high school yet, he’s receiving attention from the same powerhouse programs that once pursued his brother.

Ohio State has built a reputation for producing top-tier NFL wideouts in recent years.

Names like Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Curtis Samuel, Parris Campbell, and Emeka Egbuka have all donned the scarlet and gray – many of them becoming first-round NFL Draft picks.

With that rich history and Harrison Jr.’s own legacy in Columbus, Ohio State’s interest in Jett Harrison is no surprise.

While Jett’s path is just beginning, the early offer suggests the Buckeyes are serious about keeping one of football’s most famous bloodlines running strong in Columbus.

What are your thoughts on Jett’s recruitment? … When the time comes, do you think he will indeed end up at Ohio State???
