Ashton Jeanty is generating significant buzz as potentially the top running back in this draft class, and in just three days, we’ll finally see where he’ll make his mark in the NFL.

Earlier this week, Jeanty sat down with #PFTPM, courtesy of the good folks at USAA, where he offered insights into both his aspirations and the potential landscape of the draft. He believes he could go as high as No. 6, with the Raiders sniffing around his talent. On the flip side, he’s eyeing the Cowboys at No. 12 as the floor for his draft stock.

The thought of the Raiders potentially snagging Jeanty at sixth opens up an intriguing scenario involving trades. The Jaguars hold the fifth pick, and they might just be the ones a team looks to leapfrog to secure Jeanty before Las Vegas potentially pulls the trigger. Additionally, one can’t help but speculate about the Giants and their decision-making process. With co-owner John Mara perhaps feeling the weight of last year’s Saquon Barkley situation, the allure of drafting Jeanty could be hard to resist.

Should the Giants pass, it’s entirely possible that Jeanty finds himself facing them twice a season in the NFC East, ideally suited to impact games immediately with the Cowboys.

Regardless of what unfolds on draft day, there’s a clear consensus that Jeanty possesses the talent to evolve into an NFL superstar. Ultimately, where he’s picked may not be the principal story; it’s those teams that opt to pass on him that might end up questioning their decision — unless, of course, they manage to find their own gem in the draft.
