With The Draft In The Books, HERE Are The Latest Odds For Who Will Be The #1 Pick In NEXT Year’s Draft … What’s Your Prediction??

After months of hype and buildup, the 2024 NFL Draft is officially in the books.

As is always the case, we saw our fair share of twists and surprises. None bigger than the Atlanta Falcons shocking decision to draft Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth overall pick.

It doesn’t matter how hard you try to defend the pick – it literally makes zero sense whatsoever.

Regardless, the draft is officially over, and we can now turn our attention to minicamps and the offseason program as teams try and build for the coming season.

Another thing we can turn our attention to is NEXT year’s draft.

Sure, it might be wayyy too early to do so, but it’s fun to see who the projected top players in the 2025 draft are.

(By the way, how awesome is it that next year’s draft will be in GREEN BAY?!? … Nashville is perhaps the coolest host to this point, but there’s an excellent chance that Green Bay tops it.)

DraftKings just released the latest odds for who’s expected to be the #1 overall pick in the 2025 draft…

-Shedeur Sanders, Colorado: +100
-Carson Beck, Georgia: +300
-Quinn Ewers, Texas: +300
-Drew Allar, Penn State: +850
-Jalen Milroe, Alabama: +950
-Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss: +1200
-Cameron Ward, Miami: +1500
-Mykel Williams, Georgia: +1500

Surprisingly, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is considered the early favorite to be the top overall pick in next year’s draft.

Of course, Sanders’ profile is highly-boosted by the fact that his father (and coach) is none other than Deion Sanders.

That’s not taking anything away from Sanders who is undoubtedly a talented quarterback. But it’s hard to envision him being a better NFL QB than Georgia’s Carson Beck or Texas’ Quinn Ewers.

After a fast start, Sanders and the Buffaloes struggled mightily down the stretch of the 2023 season. While it’s true that Colorado had major issues along the offensive line, Sanders did very little to elevate the Buffs on offense.

The coming season will be enormous for Sanders who is seeking to prove that he has what it takes to eventually be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

You can certainly make the argument that Sanders’ teammate, Travis Hunter, is the much better NFL prospect of the two.

“Coach Prime” made news earlier this offseason when he said that neither of his sons (Shedeur and Shilo) nor Hunter would accept being drafted by a cold-weather NFL team.

“All of this is subjective because I know where I kinda want them to go. And let’s not forget Shilo. But I know where I want them to go. So, there are certain cities that ain’t gonna happen … It’s going to be an Eli. We ain’t doing it,” Sanders said at the time.

Rumor then spread that Deion preferred Shedeur and Hunter to play for one of six NFL teams … However, he would later deny the report.

“One thing about a lie – a lie is so fast it can outrun the truth any day. That’s a bald-faced lie. That’s a stupid lie. I have more than six owners that are friends. I have more than six GMs that are friends,” he said.

What are your thoughts on the current odds for first-overall pick in next year’s draft?

Are you a believer in the Sanders hype? … Or do you think Beck and/or Ewers have a much better chance to be the top pick?

Who would your dark-horse candidate be? … (Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is poised to have a monstrous season and will most likely sky-rocket up draft boards when the time comes.)

At the end of the day, who will be the first pick in the 2025 draft???
