When Baldwin was in the majors, his performance showed flashes of potential, albeit with some ups and downs. Over 142 plate appearances, he posted a .215/.257/.331 line, hitting three homers and collecting 16 RBIs. Getz understands the nuances of Baldwin’s growth and potential. “His time will come, and he’ll rejoin the team,” he mentioned, hinting that it could be sooner rather than later. Offensively, Baldwin’s aggressive approach has been a standout feature. “He is an aggressive hitter. We’ve seen that,” Getz noted. The focus now is on refining that approach to ensure it’s sustainable at the big league level while also making sure he feels confident defensively as he transitions back.
